I feel it's still in need of more work. Unfortunately I need a desktop that can handle the memory, not my poor, dear laptop. In any case, the colors were damaged in the transition from my PC to my Mac. The saturation of the colors were a bit offensive to the eyes and the darks were super intense, you couldn't even see parts of the background. I fixed it as much as I could and I can only hope that my prints will be ok.

Anime Weekend Atlanta is just around the corner and I want to create at least 2 new images (although I have 4 planned).

Also, also, Carl Horn will be attending as a guest! MUST HAVE SOMETHING COMIC RELATED AAAAH...

I've been inconveniently busy but I think I can finish something tonight.

The two like to cuddle, which is a first with Kamille.

She has interacted with other cats, but they were a bit... overprotected and scared of everything. Seeing her with Loki makes me happy.



Kamille likes to lay around like a ballerina and sleep in strange places...



Loki isn't any different. She loves the warmth of my laptop.



Before they know it, it's "Interpretive Dancing" nap time.

Ah-hah! I did something for myself. That feels great.... and it's 2am, why????

Today was Stan Sakai's birthday!

Mr. Sakai is a well-known comic book artist mostly for his Eisner Award-winning comic: Usagi Yojimbo.

If you don't know of it I advice you look into it!

I met Mr. Sakai through SCAD's Tokyo '09 trip.
He was a guest artist/mentor who was gracious enough to sit with a bunch of students to share his experiences and knowledge of the industry.
That and he drew me a picture of my favourite turtle: Leo along with Usagi, being awesome.
If someone had told me I would meet the creator of Usagi, I wouldn't have believed them.
These characters have been with me since I was a wee little thing.

So here's a little overdue something to thank him <3

I was incredibly happy that PoTC had mermaids in it because they're my favourite mythological creature
and I hardly get any decent movies that depict them as I picture them to be. Beautiful and yet deadly.
I love the ancient lore certain countries have regarding these salty water banshees.
Although I think they would be more like Naiads 8B

Then again I'm also saddened because they were compared to vampires and
after what Twilight did to them, it doesn't sit well with me.
I hope to whatever is good and mighty that no one starts a crazy flow of cliche, butchered mermaid movies.
Especially if they have fangs and are mentioned to be 'water vampires'.

Any way. Speaking of butchering something beautiful.
I was looking for some files and found an old Original Character (ahem...)
 

Let me mention how I dorked out when Serena (PoTC mermaid) had the same hairdo and color palette.
It's a bit embarrassing...

Oh yes, I also cut my hair. I cut off 13 inches, actually. Donated them to Locks of Love!
